I'm Chef Tiya, a passionate culinary professional with over 20 years of experience in the kitchen. My journey in the Culinary world began with my graduation from Culinary School, where I honed my skills and developed a deep love for the art of cooking. Throughout my career, I have had the incredible opportunity to work under world-class chefs such as Wolfgang Puck and Jose Andrés learning from the best in the industry and refining my craft along the way.
As a mom, my family-oriented approach to cooking not only shapes my culinary style but also influences the way I connect with my clients. I believe that a great meal has the power to create lasting memories, and I strive to make every dining experience special for my guests. My faith is central to my life, and I pride myself on being a God-fearing woman. My religious values guide my work ethic and the relationships I build within the culinary community.
Throughout my career, I have been fortunate enough to be recognized not only for my skills in the kitchen but also for my ability to connect with others. I have had the privilege of being featured on National Television, Radio, News outlets, and in various Articles/Magazines. These experiences have allowed me to share my passion for cooking with a broader audience and inspire others to explore their own culinary journeys.
I took a bold step and launched my catering company Esculent 11 Catering. Esculent meaning "Fit to be eaten" and 11 well that's my Birthday 11/11. My previous experiences of working at fine dining hotels and restaurants such as The Ritz-Carlton, Wolfgang Puck CUT Georgetown, The Carlyle Hotel NY, and Fish by Jose Andrés and working with multiple celebrities have equipped me with the expertise needed to create unforgettable dining experiences tailored to each client's unique needs when catering events.
I'm committed to excellence in every aspect of my work, and I continually strive to push the boundaries of my culinary creativity. My mission is to create dishes that not only satisfy the palate but also create lasting memories. Whether I am catering an intimate gathering or preparing a lavish event, I bring the same level of dedication and passion to each endeavor.
